Lytteaften: Marcela Lucatelli + Toke Højby Lorentzen
Marcela Lucatelli and Toke Højby Lorentzen — both artists selected for the Sounds of the Future Residency — will give an artist talk on Thursday, October 23. You are invited to join and gain insight into their distinct artistic practices.
Toke Højby Lorentzen
works at the intersection of sound and image as a semantically fluid field, where the two media continuously inform and transform one another. In the series Strategic Opacity, Lorentzen examines the interplay between image, code, and manual practice through sonic translation and material disruption, positioning human labor as a symbolic force within the technological system.

Marcela Lucatelli
aims to further develop her ongoing researh into vocal composition, diasporic memory, and sonic liberation with her project ‘The Music of the Multiplicities: Decolonizing the Voice of Sublimity. This project investigates how the voice — through extended techniques, ritual performance, and electroacoustic environments — can become a radical technology for storytelling and the crafting of new identities and realities.
