Open Studio – Wilma Hultén

‘Other Room’ is a site-specific sound installation created by Swedish composer and sound artist Wilma Hultén during her residency at Sound Art Lab during the past couple of weeks. It is a two-room installation that transmits sound through the structures of the building through unusual speaker placement. The installation will be open for an hour on Wednesday, come have a listen!

Wilma Hultén is a Swedish composer and sound artist based in Stockholm. She creates both electronic and acoustic music with a focus on timbre and the perceptual grouping of sound. In her practice, she explores aleatoric techniques, spectral density and slowly changing processes that let the music unfold on its own terms.
