Concert with Trajectories

30 May 2024
TRAJECTORIES

Join us for a concert at Sound Art Lab on May 30, where the Canadian-Swedish collective of sound artists and composers Trajectories will be playing parts of their latest album “Quiet on Kökar”.

ABOUT:

Trajectories is a Canadian-Swedish collective of sound artists and composers composed of Connor Cook, Charles Harding and Malte Leander. Reflecting and commenting on contemporary issues and events, each individual creator’s perspective interactively shapes the collective’s direction, and vice-versa. In this iterative practice, Trajectories explore a variety of recording set-ups and collaborative compositional techniques, experimenting with ideas of the non-anthropocentric positioning of the artist, present at the time of recording, composing and performing. They document expeditions utilizing field recorders, hydrophones and various cameras to become immersed in the sights and sounds of environments, with the aim to nurture gradually emerging artistic themes surrounding the ecological and historical character of geographical locations and, as a result, engage in new work with personal meaning amplified by the deeper context of the environment.
