FILM SCREENING: Sisters With Transistors

We’re thrilled to announce Lyd på Lærred (english: Sound on Screen), a brand-new collaboration with Apollon Cinema as part of STRUER:DOX!

Struer, the ‘City of Sound’, has established a strong cultural profile in sound art through the Struer Tracks Biennial. Lyd på Lærred develops this identity further and explores the cinema as a space for sound experiences. Through an experimental film program, sound and listening take center stage, and a couple of the five screenings in 2025 will be accompanied by presentations and dialogues that enhance the audience’s understanding of sound in art.

The program will feature five screenings throughout 2025, and our first film in the series is Sisters with Transistors, a groundbreaking documentary about the pioneering women of electronic music.
