Sound Art Lab opening weekend

27–29 Aug 2021
Sound Art Lab Grand Opening
Friday, August 27, 2021 at 4 PM Sound Art Lab officially opens its doors to the public, and is open all weekend for curious visitors.
The opening event begins with speeches and a refreshment, after which the reel tape-ribbon to the brand new facilities is cut by mayor of Struer Niels Viggo Lynghøj.
The opening weekend is held in collaboration with the local Radio Amateur Association OZ3EDR, which has already moved into the Sound Art Lab – in premises where the association’s activities began 75 years ago.
Stop by – see, hear and experience a snippet of the life that will unfold in the house in the future. Throughout the weekend, you can experience the new sound studios, workshops and studios and visit the radio amateurs in their new premises.
Visit the OZ3EDR mobile transmitter , hear sound artist Christian Skjødt Hasselstrøm talk about his work with the exhibition Radar at Regelbau 411, find radio-gold at the Radio Amateur Association OZ3EDR’s flea market, participate in a sound art workshop for children and much more.
The full program will be announced.
Sound Art Lab is established by Struer Municipality and is developed in collaboration with Sound Hub Denmark, Bang & Olufsen, Harman, Struer Tracks Biennale, Kunsthal Regelbau 411 and others.
Sound Art Lab’s studios have been established with generous support from the Færch Foundation and Harman.
