We offer three types of residencies:

  • Funded residencies, typically through specified open calls with various requirements or aimed at specific groups.
  • Self-funded residencies open for anyone working artistically with sound. We can provide letters for applying for external funding.
  • Residencies through the Danish Art Workshops. This type of residency can be split to take place at Sound Art Lab in Struer and at the Danish Art Workshops in Copenhagen. NB! Application is through their website, where you also find the conditions.

All project proposals will be assessed by a qualified art board to ensure a high standard and relevance of the projects at SAL. We usually do not give reasons for refusals.

In general, we do not charge any fee for being in residence and accommodation in our shared artist apartment is also free of charge, but the capacity is limited.
