Sound Art Lab Residency

Open Call for residency at Sound Art Lab for artists living in the Central Jutland Region

10 days work stay with focus on sound art in Struer. The residency is offered by Aarhus Visual Arts Center in collaboration with Sound Art Lab.

We offer:

– a 10-day residency for artists living in the Central Jutland Region.

– studio space, access to sound studios, a sound-dead room, Electronic- and wood workshops and a network of sound experts in Struer City of Sound. Additionally it is possible to live with other artists in SAL’s apartment in central Struer. The apartment is 210 M2 and has 5 rooms and common facilities (kitchen, bathroom and living room).

– Scholarship of DKK 5,000, as well as a fee of DKK 1,500 for an artist talk.

Residency will be in the period 16 January – 28 February. The final date is agreed between the individual artist and the Sound Art Lab.

Sound Art Lab (SAL) is a new center for sound art located in B & O’s former headquarters in Struer. SAL offers a framework for development and production for artists working with sound.
